This Website is operated by Vela Gloria (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this Website and/or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Website or place an order.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

To place an order, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old, and

  • provide accurate contact, billing and delivery details.

3. Products

We sell handmade or small-batch candles and related products.

We take care to ensure product descriptions, photographs and pricing are accurate. However:

  • colours may vary slightly depending on your device/screen settings

  • handmade products may have small variations between batches

  • product packaging may vary slightly from images shown.

4. Orders

When you place an order through our Website, you will receive an order confirmation email. This does not guarantee acceptance of your order.

Your order is accepted once we send you an email confirming dispatch or confirming the order has been processed.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at any time, including (for example) if:

  • a product is out of stock

  • there is an error in pricing or product information

  • we suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, you will be refunded in full.

5. Pricing

All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed and accepted.

6. Payments (Squarespace)

Payments are processed securely through Squarespace Payments and/or third-party payment providers supported by Squarespace (such as Stripe or PayPal).

We do not store your full payment card details.

By placing an order, you authorise us to charge the total amount shown at checkout, including delivery costs where applicable.

7. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 7 working days, unless ‘Pre Order’ states otherwise. Dispatch times may vary during busy periods, promotions, product launches or holidays.

Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates only.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • postal/courier services

  • customs or international delays (if applicable)

  • weather, strikes, or events outside our control.

Risk of loss passes to you once your order is delivered to the address provided.

8. Incorrect Address

You are responsible for ensuring the delivery address is correct at checkout.

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address:

  • we may charge a redelivery fee, or

  • we may refund the order excluding the original shipping cost.

9. Returns and Refunds (Consumer Rights)

You have legal rights under UK consumer law.

9.1 Change of mind (distance selling)

If you are a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

To cancel, you must notify us in writing (email is fine) within 14 days.

You then have 14 days from the date you notify us to return the goods.

Returned items must be:

  • unused

  • in original condition

  • in original packaging.

You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty.

9.2 Non-returnable items

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for:

  • used candles

  • items damaged after use

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty.

9.3 Refunds

Once we receive your return and confirm it meets the conditions above, we will process your refund within 14 days.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

10. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • your order number

  • a description of the issue

  • clear photographs of the item and packaging.

If the item is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in line with UK consumer law.

11. Candle Safety Disclaimer

Candles are used at the customer’s own risk. By purchasing from us, you agree to follow safe candle usage.

Always:

  • never leave a burning candle unattended

  • keep away from children and pets

  • keep away from flammable materials

  • burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface

  • stop burning when a small amount of wax remains

  • follow any care instructions provided with the product.

We are not responsible for damage, injury or loss caused by misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website (including product names, photographs, branding, text, designs and logos) is owned by [Business Name] or licensed to us.

You may not copy, reproduce or use any content for commercial purposes without written permission.

You must not:
